Last weekend Darren and I had planned to go to FivePine Lodge for a romantic weekend away! Work has been crazy busy for both of us, so we were looking forward to the weekend out of town. Unfortunately the weather warnings changed our plans from getting away to getting some Christmas shopping done. After we went to a few stores, I was feeling sick and so we decided to head home. When we got home we started watching Pit bulls and Parolees, which then sparked looking at puppies online. We’d been talking about getting a dog for months, but it seemed as though something that was not in our near future. Before we knew it we were on the road and headed to look at some puppies. After looking at a few litters and falling in love with one puppy in particular, we headed home. While I was trying to forget about her, Darren was trying to figure out how to get her! He woke up early the next day trying to get together his surprise Christmas gift. After many attempts to get me to think he was doing something else and to try and get me to stay home he finally said we aren’t going shopping… We’re going to get a dog!

She is full of energy and spunk!

Poor puppy has kennel cough, so she’s had a rough first few days…

She already knows how to sit and is learning how to lay down.

So even though the winter storm, that never actually came, postponed our trip to FivePine Lodge, we have a precious new puppy! More proof everything happens for a reason! Hope you’re enjoying the holiday’s with your family and friends!
