Bella Via: Simply Stunning

0 Comments • Posted by Champagne on April 22, 2011

When I first walked into Bella Via I instantly fell in love! The warm gold tones along with the cool gray really allows the space to be whatever style you want it to be! To showcase the space I wanted to create a mock wedding so brides could envision how their wedding could look!  To do this we decided to go with the tones of the room and create something simple and clean, with white and silver and gold accents.  We carried this look throughout the whole venue and chose a very classic look from a simple elegant cake to white roses and lilies to the brides hair and makeup. We hope this is able to give you an idea of what Bella Via can look like, but also not overwhelm you with one color verse another or style, so you are able to envision what fits your unique style!  This tones make the beauty of the space shine through from the crystal chandeliers to the silver and gold and silver accented wallpaper.

A huge thank you to all the vendors involved:

Day 24, AniA Collection! Beautiful gowns!

Champagne: How long has AniA Collection been in business?

AniA Collection: AniA Collection has been here in the heart of downtown Portland for going on 14 years, making us one of the oldest and most established bridal salons in the area. We were honored to have been chosen by brides, THE KNOT’s Best Portland Bridal store (AniA Collection Best of Weddings 2011).

Champagne: What’s your favorite part of having AniA Collection shop in the heart of Portland?

AniA Collection: We at AniA Collection love Portland brides.  Being centrally located downtown gives us the opportunity to work with an amazing variety of PDX women.  We meet brides who are getting married here in the city, out in the Oregon countryside, and in all sorts of fabulous destination locations.  And Portland brides are aware of their own styles and personalities, creative, artistic, savvy, and fun!

Champagne: What a bride should know when looking for her wedding dress at AniA Collection?

AniA Collection: Our store is a full-service salon.  During her appointment, each bride will work one on one with a consultant who will help her navigate the world of bridal fashion.  We recommend that brides come to their appointment having done some internet browsing to get an idea of the styles that they are drawn to, but to keep an open mind - our consultants are pros at finding the right dress for the right girl, and sometimes a gown that doesn’t look right on a hanger will turn into the perfect dress as soon as you try it on!

Champagne: Do you carry bridesmaid dresses?

AniA Collection: We sure do!  We carry Designer bridesmaids collections by Jim Hjelm Occasions, Watters, WTOO, Lazaro, Alvina Valenta and more.  We also carry great options for flower girls, moms, and friends of the family!

Champagne: What’s the store’s favorite dress of the season?

AniA Collection: We only get to pick one? : )  We love Style 3100 from Lazaro’s Spring 2011 collection.  Ballgowns are making a huge comeback - when we were in New York, every designer had a fantastic full-skirted finale gown, and brides definitely seem ready to embrace the trend.

Champagne: What do the consultants do when you’re not doing what you do?

AniA Collection: Each of our girls has a distinct personality, which helps us to best serve a wide variety of brides. But we all work really well together, a little sample of our Team work was the Youtube video we just finished, it was so much fun, and we counted with the support of great people like Anne Adams Photography, Flowers Designs by Alicia, AJ’s Hair design and MakeUp and Event Team Entertainment.

Champagne: What designers do you carry?

AniA Collection: We carry over 20 different designers, some, like Watters and the JLM lines, who are pilars of the bridal industry, and some, like Lazaro, Claire Pettibone and Lusan Mandongus who are making a huge splash in the industry in recent years and stirring things up a bit with their new ideas.  For a complete list of our designers and links to the pictures on their sites, visit our website.

Champagne: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

AniA Collection: Just that planning your wedding is a once in a lifetime experience, and you should be having fun every step of the way.  At AniA, we strive to treat each and every one of our brides as though she’s our only bride- we laugh a lot, but at the end of the day we know just how important your day is, and we want to make sure our part of the process goes as seamlessly and stressless as it possibly can.  Our best advice to brides is to enjoy this time- Portland has such a wonderful collection of wedding vendors to chose from.  Find people who make you smile.  Soak up every minute.  And find yourself the gown of your absolute dreams - it’s totally worth it.  We’d love to show you the way.
