And it’s only Thursday!

A few fun things have happened this week… here are some of the details!!

On Monday, we received the images back from a recent shoot with Honeysuckle Photography for our new advertisement coming out later this year and next! The shoot was inspired by my nightmare of having to carry the chairs down the stairs from the ceremony to the reception at my wedding. I started to think of what else Bride’s may be thrown into doing if there isn’t a planner by her side to help her! Rachelle and I got together with Honeysuckle Photography and started brainstorming ideas! Check out the sneak peak on Honeysuckle’s blog and keep an eye out for our ad!

On Tuesday, we found out that a recent photo shoot at Domaine Margelle had been featured on Oregon Bride Magazine’s blog! We worked with many fabulous vendors to put together an elegant wine inspired photo shoot! Make sure to check it out here!

On Wednesday, we took Lucie to the coast for some site seeing, yummy seafood, taffy and whale watching! Lucie is our intern, who has been here since June from France. She’s headed home next Sunday, so we wanted to make sure she got to see a little more of Oregon! Next week, we’re going to make sure to stop by Voodoo Doughnuts! Here are a couple pictures from our beach adventure!

Beach. Rain. Love

Oh. my. gosh. Words can’t quite describe how wet of a weekend it was when Jen and Nick got married, but it only rained for about 3 minutes of their ceremony and I have to say, it made it that much more intimate and special. I’d been working with Jen & Nick for almost exactly a year. They live in Kentucky and had been to Cannon Beach a few times before, making it a really important place for them! It made for the perfect destination and though the rain had quite a presence, it was quite the event! Without further ado, over on Soul Mates Photography‘s blog, she’s shared a few of the images from the day… Pop over and take a look…perhaps all you’ll need is an umbrella….Soul Mates blog!

One of my faves…

10.10.10… Wow… I’m still in shock it’s October and this weekend is going to be huge for many reasons! While many bride and groom’s are saying their I do’s on 10.10.10, my dog is turning one [okay not a huge deal, but every day older is another day she may become calmer- right?], we are also going to be a part of an event called Brides Against Breast Cancer and an Autumn Wedding Expo at Montgomery Park! The event is Saturday [10.9.10] and Sunday [10.10.10] from 10:00-4:00pm [See more details below!] This event is going to be filled with many amazing dresses, that not only will be at a steal of a deal, but proceeds go to Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation! We’ll be there and we’ll be offering a special deal you won’t want to miss, so make sure to stop by our booth! We’ll be there or you may catch us running around helping things run smoothly! We’re looking forward to meeting you!!

P.S. We look forward to scheduling a complimentary, no obligation, consultation to learn more about your wedding plans and to tell you more about our services! Better to find out you need at least a Day of Coordinator now, than after your wedding day! We’d love to tell you more about what we do to make your wedding day [and weeks before] run smoothly!

Wedding Dance Workshop - October 3rd & 17th

Often times I have couples ask if I have any recommendations for dance instructors and Cynthia and Michael Parent are always the first to come to mind! The first time I met them was in 2007. They had been teaching my clients how to dance and came to the wedding to teach their guests a mini lesson! It was such a great experience!
I had coffee with Cynthia the other day and we began talking about the need to get more people dancing! Whether you’re getting married in a few months, years or already married and just want to dance, this workshop is perfect for you! Perhaps you’re going to your daughters wedding and want to know a few steps. While some may choose to continue lessons after the workshop- these classes are designed to teach you a few of the basic steps! Darren and I will be joining in on the fun [eek!!]- hope to see you there!!
